This webinar, organised by the European Lawyers Foundation and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) in the wake of the Pegasus spyware scandal, was held on 10 October 2022.
It attracted over 800 participants from many Member States, and even beyond the EU.

He was followed by the Chair (Jeroen Lenaers MEP) and the Rapporteur (Sphie in’t Veld MEP) of the European Parliament committee enquiry investigating the use of Pegasus and other spyware (PEGA committee), who spoke about the work of their committee.
Finally, Sebastian Cording, Chair of the CCBE Surveillance Committee, gave the lawyers’ perspective, focusing on lawyer-client confidentiality.
