Intellectual Property enforcement: what EU Lawyers need to know
On 18 March 2024, the European Lawyers Foundation (ELF), in collaboration with the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), organised a webinar on ‘Intellectual property enforcement – what EU lawyers need to know’. The webinar was part of the TRAVAR project, which is co-funded by the European Union. Among the issues addressed during the webinar were:
(i) why IP and IP enforcement are important for lawyers’ clients;
(ii) the types of IP rights and their protection from an enforcement perspective;
(iii) IP and new technologies; and
(iv) the presentation of EUIPO’s brochure “IP enforcement for generalist lawyers in the EU”.
Additionally, one of the sessions dealt with practical case studies.
