Intellectual property enforcement for generalist lawyers in the EU
On 13 October 2025, the European Lawyers Foundation (ELF), in collaboration with the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), organised a webinar on ‘Intellectual property enforcement for generalist lawyers in the EU’. The webinar was part of the TRAVAR project, which is co-funded by the European Union. Among the issues addressed during the webinar were:
(i) latest developments in enforcing copyright in the age of GenAI;
(ii) protection and infringement of trade secrets, civil and criminal enforcement measures;
(iii) engaging customs in stopping fake goods: IP Enforcement Portal (IPEP) and Filing Applications for Action in IPEP (AFA);
(iv) misleading invoices targeting IP right owners; and
(v) the presentation of EUIPO’s brochure ‘IP enforcement for generalist lawyers in the EU’.
