European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) – latest developments for European lawyers
On 28 September 2026, the European Lawyers Foundation and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) organised a webinar on ‘European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) – latest developments for European lawyers’.
First, there was a presentation by a European Commission official on recent legislative and policy developments. This was followed by a speaker from the EPPO who described the EPPO and how it functions. And finally, there were three presentations from the defence perspective, on defence rights before the EPPO and practical experiences.
