EU sanctions for lawyers
On 16 March 2026, the European Lawyers Foundation and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) organised a webinar on ‘EU sanctions for lawyers’, in the framework of the EU-funded TRAVAR 2 project.
Among the issues addressed during the webinar, there was first a presentation by a European Commission official on recent EU policy developments in the field of sanctions (including what they are and how they work), followed by a presentation on the role of lawyers in dealing with EU sanctions. Finally, there was a session on the role of Bars in dealing with EU sanctions.
