When legal services cross borders into and out of the EU – latest developments for lawyers
On 26 January 2026, the European Lawyers Foundation and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) organised a webinar on ‘When legal services cross borders into and out of the EU – latest developments for lawyers’.
Among the issues addressed during the webinar, there was first a presentation by a European Commission official with an overview of latest developments affecting lawyers and law firms, followed by an overview of the CCBE’s views and policies by the Chair of the CCBE’s International Legal Services Committee. Next was a session on the opportunities for EU lawyers in markets around the world, followed by a final presentation on the impact of digitalisation and AI on international trade in legal services.
