The European Lawyers Foundation organised a project financed by the International Bar Association (IBA) in Asia. Its main goal, implemented in collaboration with LawAsia and the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia, was to train Asian lawyers on issues related to the globalisation of legal services. A training conference took place in Siem Reap (Cambodia) on 1 November 2018. International speakers did address issues such as the creation of international legal joint ventures, international subcontracting, how to raise capital in international markets, and international arbitration. Participants included lawyers from Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, China, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, Rwanda, Hungary, United Kingdom, United States of America and The Netherlands.
