The Foundation’s Secretariat is responsible for the Foundation’s day-to-day business. It is compossed of people with knowledge of both the legal profession and project management. The Secretariat is composed of a Managing Director, project assistants and administrative staff.
Alonso Hernandez-Pinzon Garcia, Managing Director
Alonso Hernandez-Pinzon is the Managing Director of the European Lawyers Foundation. He holds a degree in Law from the University Autonoma of Madrid where he also received an LL.M. in International Public Law and EU Law. He holds a Masters in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Spanish Diplomatic School and has taken postgraduate and executive education in academic centers such as Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School. He is a qualified lawyer registered with the Madrid Bar Association. He has worked in EU affairs for more than ten years, focusing on the field of justice and on EU-funded projects in this field.
Vasileios Stathopoulos, Project Manager
Vasileios Stathopoulos has previously worked as a project assistant at the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) and in EU institutions including the European Parliament and the European Economic and Social Committee. He holds two master’s degrees in European Law and International Relations and two bachelor’s degrees in Law and International & European Studies. Vasileios is a qualified lawyer at the Athens Bar Association.
Féline van der Heyden, Office Manager
Féline van der Heyden has experience in Finance and Office Management for over 10 years, and has worked for several international commercial organisations in (re)organisational projects and as Personal Assistant to Directors and Board Members. She holds a bachelor degree in Economics. At the European Lawyers Foundation she is responsible for the financial administration, HR and the office management.
